Introducing the Mendi Score

We are excited to announce a major improvement in the way Mendi measures and reports on brain training progress in-app. After conducting a number of surveys and user interviews, it became clear that some of you found the existing Neural Activity, Resilience, and Control scores difficult to interpret. The scoring system failed to capture an important part of overall brain health: sticking to the habit of training.

In order to make it easier for you to understand where you are in your journeys toward a healthier brain and improved ability to focus, we created the Mendi Score. This new daily score, which is calculated on a scale from 0-to 100, is a combination of:

  • Performance 
    Your brain training scores (Neural Activity, Resilience and Control) compared with your individual baseline. 

  • Commitment
    Your session lengths and number of Training Days, both short- and long term.

In a nutshell, the new Mendi Score is a representation of how well you activate your prefrontal cortex when training, compared with your historical data, how diligently you stick to the habit of training, and how long your training sessions are on average. We hope you’ll love it!

The Mendi Score is available now in the latest version of the Mendi app for iOS and will shortly be available for Android. Stay tuned.
